Help us get this sweet senior lady into the right home!

Ladies and germs, let me introduce you to Ginger. This gorgeous girl is currently staying at Genesee County Animal Control; she's approximately 9 1/2-years-old, 43 lbs. and is growing tired of shelter life in her older years.

She went to a foster home back in March; her foster mom said that she was a "wonderful guest." She can get along with other dogs; however, if you're interested in Ginger, a meet-and-greet with your other dog(s) is required to make sure that they're compatible.

She loves to lay around during the day, but she also likes to play in the morning. She's a good sleeper and needs her bed or blanket to get a good night's rest; she actually pouts when she doesn't have either of those comfort items.

Ginger is one of the volunteer favorites at the shelter; she LOVES people and they'd like to see her go to a home with older children because of her age. She just finished heartworm treatment and is looking for a calmer home where she can "retire" in peace.

GCAC has a "senior-to-senior" discount program - senior citizens who adopt senior animals have the adoption fee waived; all they have to pay is the $10 license fee.
