Mark Wahlberg Visits Kids at Beaumont Hospital

He visited dozens of Michigan children on Monday morning who are fighting serious illnesses.

Mark Wahlberg has been spotted all over Michigan in the last couple of years - from playing golf to opening up Wahlburgers locations. The newest location will be in Royal Oak, and will open up in 2019.

While he was here announcing the new restaurant, he stopped at Beaumont Children's. He told WXYZ that he wants the kids to know that they're in his prayers, and that the doctors, nurses and volunteers are real "heroes."

Very cool of him to do - he also made a public plea for Amazon to build their headquarters here in Detroit. He seems to have taken a liking to our state!

Thought I'd keep it light and bright today, since a bunch of people (you know who you are) made yesterday's good news political. *wagging finger*
