Madonna Spotted in Michigan at Family Winery for Celebration
It was a family celebration that brought the Material Girl back to her home state of Michigan.
Madonna was in the Traverse City area to celebrate her father Silvio 'Tony' Ciccone's 90th birthday. The family gathering was held at the family winery, Ciccone Vineyard & Winery.
Madonna shared a series of pictures to her Instagram with a special dedication to her father saying,
"My father is a survivor growing up as an Italian Immigrant in the US and living thru many traumas but always working hard for everything he had—-
He taught me the importance of hard work and earning one’s way in life.............Again I thank you. 🙏🏼 It was so special to spend your 90th birthday with you and my children in your vineyard. 🍇🎂🍷🎉♥️ #happybirthday #ohfather #thestrangers @cicconevineyard"
Pictures were posted to the superstar's social media showing the family get together that included all six of Madonna's children. The kids include Lourdes Leon, 24, Rocco Ritchie, 20, David Banda, 15, Mercy James, 15, and twin daughters Stella Ciccone and Estere Ciccone, 8. It's pretty much a rarity to see the singer post any pictures with all of her kids together.
There are also photos showing Madonna, who is 62, celebrating at her father's Michigan vineyard with her sisters Melanie, 59, Paula, 61, and Jennifer, 53.
Madonna's father is a first generation American after his parents immigrated to Pennsylvania from Pacentro, Italy. Back in October of 1995 the land was acquired for the winery, and the following Spring the first five acres were planted by hand with Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Gewürztraminer. According to their website, Ciccone Vineyard and Winery is among the first 10 wineries in Leelanau Peninsula.
