‘Little Voice’ Prompts Michigan Woman To Buy Winning Lottery Ticket
A Macomb County woman is thankful that she listened to her intuition, which led her to buy a $1 million winning scratch-off ticket from the Michigan Lottery.
It Pays to Listen to Your Intuition
Alexandra Wilk says 'a little voice' had been speaking to her all day, telling her that she needed to purchase a lottery ticket.
"I play the Lottery every now and then, but something that day kept telling me to buy a ticket," she said. "I stopped at 7-Eleven to pick up a couple things, and I just felt like I needed to listen to that little voice I’d been hearing all day."
The 25-year-old purchased a $10 'Instant Jackpot' scratch-off ticket at the 7-Eleven on 21 Mile Road in Macomb. At first, she didn't believe that she had purchased a big winner.
"I scratched the ticket off when I got back to my car. At first, I thought they had given me a prank ticket because what I was seeing – a $1 million winner – was so shocking."
Alexandra says the first call she made was to her mom, who broke down in tears when she heard the good news.

A Bright Future for Her Daughter
Alexandra tells the Michigan Lottery that she plans to use her winnings to buy a house and a car. She also plans to save for the future.
"This money is life-changing for me and my daughter. My future just got so much brighter."
