Kelly Clarkson and Fiance to Elope

Kelly Clarkson has announced she and her fiance are no longer going to have a big wedding and instead the pair has chosen to elope!

The singer said she and fiance Brandon Blackstock have decided to forego a big, splashy wedding and instead will take a quicker, more streamlined route to exchanging vows. In a recent interview, Clarkson said things started to go haywire when the pair sent out their save-the-date notices which then caused them to re-evaluate the idea of having a big wedding.

Clarkson has a new single out " Tie it up" which is about getting married, she has a Christmas album coming out and is working with State Farm to promote safe driving. The pair  let their invited guests know they changed their mind in a fun way with a photo saying it would be just them, a minister and Blackstock's two kids.

Kind of nice to see a celebrity not bowing to the pressure of having a big, splashy wedding just to be on another magazine cover.
