
Michigan School Bus Ends Up in Ditch…Potholes to Blame
Michigan’s potholes are getting so bad that now they’re taking out school buses.
According to Fox 2 Detroit, this all happened Thursday morning in Wayne County near Clark and Judd Roads in Huron Township. A school bus with students on board ended up in a ditch after the driver tried to avoid some pretty nasty potholes.
What Caused the Michigan School Bus Crash in Wayne County?
According to police, the driver was doing everything right. No speeding, no distractions, nothing like that.
The problem was the road itself…surprise, surprise.

While trying to steer around some pretty nasty potholes, the shoulder gave out, and the bus ended up in the ditch. Just like that.
Were Students Injured in the Huron Township School Bus Crash?
The students had to be evacuated through the emergency exit at the back of the bus.
Three students had minor injuries, but thankfully, they were checked out and released to their parents right at the scene.
Everyone else was either taken to school on another bus or picked up.
Michigan Potholes Causing Dangerous Road Conditions Again
This is about as Michigan as it gets this time of year.
The freeze-thaw cycle beats the hell out of our roads every single spring, and yeah, we all deal with it in our own cars…but when it starts messing with school buses, that’s a different level.
The Wayne County Roads Division has been notified, so hopefully this stretch gets some attention sooner rather than later.
