When Dieting, the Most Irresistible Food in Michigan Might Surprise You

What is the most irresistible food in Michigan when you are on a diet?

Dieting can be a struggle for anyone. Giving up your favorite foods can be both extremely tough and downright depressing. Every state has its own delicacies that can be tough to give up, but Michigan's isn't necessarily a Mitten-made treat.

FeastGood.com recently conducted a survey of the "Most Loathed Fast Foods of America." However, the title of the article is a bit deceiving as the study asked 3,000 people what foods are hardest to give up when on a diet. What did the survey say about Michigan? Coneys? Pizza? The survey showed that it was neither of those foods.

I have to say I was a bit surprised at the results for Michigan. Apparently, for Michiganders on a diet, the hardest food to resist is a BLT. I really want to know who they surveyed to come up with this answer. Don't get me wrong, I love a good bacon, lettuce, and tomato sammich! My daughter and I make them every week.

I didn't expect BLTs to be the most irresistible in Michigan. Some of the other states made sense. In Pennsylvania, the Philly Cheesesteak is the hardest to resist. In Illinois, it is deep-dish pizza. In Wisconsin, it's deep-friend cheese curds.

However, some of the answers on the list had me scratching my head. Here are some of the entries that stuck out to me on this list:

• Alabama - Bacon-wrapped Meatloaf
• Nevada - Beef Jerky
• Connecticut - 2-foot-long Hot Dog
• Arizona - Quadruple Burger
• North Carolina - Livermush
• South Carolina - Turducken
• Indiana - Fried-brain Sandwich
• Iowa - Hot Beef Sundae

I have so many questions. Livermush and fried-brain sandwiches? Also, WTF is a hot beef sundae? I know I could Google those foods, but I'm having a good day and am not going to ruin it.
