Heatwave Hits Michigan Just In Time For Summer Fun
Although summer officially begins in Michigan on Friday, June 20, 2025, you will start feeling its warmth as early as Monday.
The weather in the Great Lakes State can change quickly, but for now, the forecast for next week is looking great.
If you haven't opened your pool or put your boat in the water yet, next week will be the perfect time to do so. The only rain in the forecast is a possible thunderstorm early Wednesday morning, followed by clearing skies.
Here is a breakdown of what we are looking at temperature-wise next week in Michigan,
- Genesee County will experience temperatures in the 80s all week, with Tuesday expected to be the warmest day, reaching a high of 88 degrees.
- Lapeer County will enjoy temperatures in the 80s all week, with Tuesday being the warmest day, reaching a high of 86 degrees.
- Oakland County is in for a warm week with temperatures in the 80s, and Tuesday is shaping up to be the hottest day, topping out at 85 degrees.
- Shiawassee County can expect highs in the 80s all week, with Tuesday likely to be the hottest, reaching 87 degrees.
West Michigan residents can also expect temperatures in the 80s throughout the week. You get the idea.
Next week is the perfect time to use some PTO - grab lunch by the water, relax by the pool, and if you don’t have a boat, make friends with someone who does.
It looks like summer is starting early, and I am here for it.
If you do take a few days off and it rains, please don't blame me.
