Okay, this one is weird. Like really weird.

Police in Southfield are investigating after bags filled with mutilated dead animals were dumped outside a cemetery not once, not twice, but four separate times.

According to FOX 2, the disturbing discoveries were made at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and included a decapitated goat, a decapitated chicken, headless pigeons, and dead fish.

When you hear about decapitated goats, only one thing comes to mind: weird, disturbing cult stuff.

Why Are Dead Animals Being Dumped at a Michigan Cemetery?

As we just mentioned, investigators believe the incidents could be connected to cult activity or some animal sacrifice tied to religious practices. Police haven't confirmed exactly what's going on, but apparently, other evidence found at the scene raised enough red flags to lead investigators in that direction.

Southfield Police Investigating Possible Animal Sacrifice

Security cameras apparently captured grainy footage of a man dropping off the latest bag, but so far, police haven't identified a suspect.

Look, maybe there's some explanation for all of this that doesn't involve cults. I have no idea what that explanation would be, but dumping severed animal parts at a cemetery four different times is beyond bizarre. It's creepy, it's disturbing, and it feels like the opening scene of every serial killer documentary ever made. Just sayin'.

For now, police are asking anyone with information to come forward as they try to figure out who's behind these unsettling discoveries.
