You can own a piece of Michigan's Mighty Mac for only $20.

The Mackinac Bridge is selling small pieces of grating while supplies last, with a limit of three pieces per customer. The sale began yesterday, Thursday, October 15, 2026, and was shared on social media and the Mackinac Bridge Authority's website.

You can see a photo of the grating below.

Do people actually collect bridge parts? I would imagine there are plenty of Michigan collectors who would love to own a piece (or maybe even a few pieces) of the Mackinac Bridge.

I collect vintage concert T-shirts myself, so I understand the appeal of collecting things that mean something to you. I would not be surprised if there are people out there who collect pieces of bridges. If you are a Michigan bridge parts collector, then you, my friend, have just hit the jackpot.

As with most things, there is a catch - not a huge one, but a catch nonetheless. These pieces will not be shipped to interested buyers. You have to physically drive to the Mackinac Bridge Authority office in St. Ignace to purchase the grating.

Right now, I imagine some people are letting out a big sigh of disappointment, while others are grabbing their keys, firing up the car, and figuring out how quickly they can get to the Mackinac Bridge.

If you do plan to make the trip, the good news is that the Mackinac Bridge Authority office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Get your pieces before they are gone.

The exact address is N 415 I-75, St. Ignace, 49781. Have a safe trip.
