Genesee Valley Center Store Moving to New Location in Flint

Another store is leaving Genesee Valley Center in Flint Township, but the good news is it’s relocating rather than closing permanently.

In case you missed it, Modern Nails closed at the mall just last week. On the bright side, three new businesses have opened at the mall.

In the latest mall news, the Shoe Dept. Encore store at Genesee Valley Center will have its last day on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

The store will move to Miller Road, in the same plaza as PetSmart, Ulta, and Five Below. From what I understand, it will take a few weeks before the Shoe Dept. Encore store begins operations at the new location

If you are not familiar with the Shoe Dept. Encore, the store offers a wide variety of shoes for men, women, and children, as well as accessories such as handbags, backpacks, socks, watches, shoe care products, and more.

We will keep you informed about the opening of the new Shoe Dept. Encore location, so you’ll be among the first to know when it’s ready to welcome shoppers. Until then, as mentioned above, there are still a few days left to stop by and shop at Shoe Dept. Encore inside Genesee Valley Center.
