Menominee County Deputy Steps In to Rescue Bobcat Kitten Separated From Its Mother
When you're cruising down a road in Michigan, there's no telling what you might encounter along the way.

For example, I'm always amused when I see that someone decided that it would be a good idea to dump a mattress or couch on the side of the road.
And during the Spring and Fall, you also might see a four-legged critter or two that didn't make it across the road fast enough and ended up becoming roadkill.

The Deputy took the bobcat kitten to the DeYoung Family Zoo for evaluation and care.

She was given the nickname Bobbi.
Despite being found laying along the roadway, Bobbi didn't appear to have any broken bones or obvious traumatic injuries.
However, she was dehydrated, malnourished, and very cold
The best guess as to what happened is that Bobbi was separated from her mom before developing hunting and survival skills, leading to her current condition.
Thankfully she is in good hands now, and will live a long and healthy life.
I'm so glad that she was spotted and rescued; I can only imagine what might have happened if not.
