Hurricane Sandy Empties Out Train Stations In NYC

Hurricane Sandy as it approaches, has caused things we never expected to happen. On Sunday the MTA announced the shutting down of the trains and buses in NYC. When a city as busy and bustling as New York City shuts down the transportation, it leaves some scenes that are downright eerie. Their official Flickr page gives us a glimpse of what you would see now.

These empty, almost spooky scenes are from the busiest stations in NYC. On an average day they are a constant movement of people and vehicles.The coming storm has replaced pandimonium with silence.
