Hurley Welcomes Genesee County’s First Baby of 2020
It's a boy! Hurley Medical Center welcomed the county's first baby of 2020 and he's adorable.
Wyse McMillian entered the world at 3:29a.m. weighing 7lbs 4oz and measuring 20.5" long. Born to mom Masharry, the newest member of Genesee County will have 4 big sisters and 2 big bothers to look out for him as he grows.
Hurley stated in a press release that the delivery went well and without any issues, but mom had some complications following delivering Wyse that were dealt with quickly and now both baby and mom are doing wonderful. Masharry McMillian commented, "I was at the right hospital to handle the complications I had after delivery. I've received excellent care and Wyse is healthy and happy. I'm so grateful."
As a added bonus to being the first baby born in the new year in Genesee County, Wyse received a special basket just for him filled with blankets, baby products and clothing courtesy of the wonderful team at Hurley.
It's no secret that Hurley loves babies, and they have the special honor of welcoming 3,000 annually into the world.
