Huh? Joe Biden Expresses Sympathy for Victims in ‘Houston’ and ‘Michigan’
After two mass shootings in as many days in El Paso, TX and Dayton, Ohio, Joe Biden expressed his sympathies for the victims and their families. However, his condolences were misdirected toward victims in Houston and Michigan.
The former Vice President was addressing a group of potential campaign donors Sunday when he referenced “the tragic events in Houston today and also in Michigan the day before."
Biden went on to denounce the "thoughts and prayers" mentality attributed to President Trump.
“The American people may be running out of tears, but I pray to God we’re not running out of will. A will to do something about what we’re seeing," Biden said. "You know, we don’t need any more thoughts and prayers out of Washington. What we need out of Washington is a strength and resolve that I have yet to see.”
Our deepest sympathies are with the families of the 30 people who lost their lives over the weekend.
