He Set The ‘Gold Standard’ For Collecting
The phrase, "Money can't buy happiness" certainly doesn't apply to Walter Samasko Jr. When authorities is Carson City, Nevada found his remains, they also found over $7 million dollars in gold. Where did it all come from?
Mr. Samasko was actually dead for a long period of time before his body was discovered after reports of a stench coming from his home. Once inside, authorities found gold coins and gold bars littered throughout the home.
They had to use a wheelbarrow to get it all of it out the house.
Mr. Samasko hadn’t held down a regular job since 1968. No one suspected the treasure that he had collected. He left no will, so the fortune will be inherited by a first cousin. (Lucky guy!)
