A casting call did take place earlier this month, but you never know - you may still have a shot at being an extra. It could come down to you being at the right place at the right time. Word is, Soggy Bottom Bar was scouted for a scene.

So what is 'Half Dead Fred' about? According to the movie Facebook page, the film is described as follows,

The story is about Freddy Nash an alcoholic that was in a bad car accident that left his 9 year old son deceased. Since the tragedy he is able to see spirits. He becomes a medium detective.

The movie will be directed by Bron Theron and the role of Freddy Nash will be played by actor Corin Nemec. You may remember him from the TV show 'Parker Lewis Can't Lose' - he played Parker Lewis. A friend of mine pointed out to me that he also portrayed Steven Stayner in 'I Know My First Name is Steven'. The 1989 miniseries was based on a real story of a boy being kidnapped when he was 7-years-old, and eventually was able to escape seven years later. I so remember watching that show, and being scared to death of being kidnapped.

If any additional casting calls are announced, I will be sure to let you know. If you are already involved in the movie, be sure to reach out so I can do a story on you too. This is super exciting for Flint, and once filming starts I am hoping to run into Parker Lewis (Corin Nemec) eating tacos at Tenacity Brewing, or rocking out at The Machine Shop.
