I'm sure there will be tons of hunting jokes about this story but, for now, the buck is safe and sound.

A panicked woman called the Grand Rapids fire department on Monday with a report of a six-point buck, stuck and struggling in a mesh wire fence.

Lt. Justin Steeby, equipment operator Daniel Weatherwax and firefighter Jared Elyea from Engine 4 responded to the call at about 9:15 a.m. They managed to calm down and secure the deer and remove the mesh from its antlers.

After about 15 minutes, the buck was free and took off. The fire department shared the rescue on their Facebook page.
