Grand Blanc Boy Scout Fundraising for Masonic Temple Project – The Good News
And you can be part of his project by helping to contribute to his financial goal, too.
Eli Jobe is a high school student and Boy Scout with Troop 176 in Grand Blanc, and he's working on his Eagle Scout Project - improving the Grand Blanc Masonic Temple.
An Eagle Scout Project is described as the opportunity for a Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, or qualified Venturer in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of his community.
Eli is planning on installing a fire pit, refurbishing three picnic tables, putting paver patios under the 3 picnic tables, and a walkway to a grill.
According to his fundraising page, which you can donate to HERE, when the project is completed it will provide the lodge with another area for the members and community to enjoy their spacious grounds.
In the future, our troop will hold flag ceremonies for retiring old torn flags. Local camp outs with the cub scouts packs to help with their advancements. The fire pit will be a place for our new scouts to achieve their fireman chip during our weekly meetings.
