Goodrich Singer Returns to American Idol on Sunday After Sister’s Death

Genavieve Linkowski will return to Idol on this Sunday's episode.

The Goodrich native first appeared on the show in 2018; her rendition of Jason Mraz's song “I Won’t Give Up” got her a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Since then, her family's life has been changed forever.

On February 17th last year, her sister Corinn (who she also sang with frequently) passed away after injuries from a car accident in Atlas Township during a snowstorm on M-15 four days earlier.

The show called her and asked her to come back and audition. She'll appear this Sunday, sharing the story of the loss of her beloved sister.
