It’s Not a Joke: Genesee Co. Man Couldn’t Believe His Big Lottery Win
It took a little convincing but a Genesee County man finally believes that he is a big winner from the Michigan Lottery.
The 59-year-old tells the Michigan Lottery that his dream of winning the Michigan Lottery's second chance prize finally came true. He won $100,000 playing the $300,000 Extraordinaire second chance game.
This is Not a Joke:
The Genesee County man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, was selected in a random drawing that took place on December 17. He earned entries into the giveaway by scanning non-winning tickets for the $300,000 Extraordinaire game online on the Lottery's app.
"When I got an email telling me I'd won a $100,000 prize, all I could think was, 'This has got to be a joke.' I can't believe it actually happened!'"
The player went on to say that he's won a few smaller prizes in second-chance drawings in the past and has always dreamed of winning a big prize.
"[I] always thought to myself, 'It would be so cool to win one of the big $100,000 prizes!'" he said.
