Fundraiser to Help Retired Burton Librarian Keep his Home

Former students and community members are trying to raise money to make this happen, can you help?

Richard Wiktorowski served as the librarian at Bendle High School from 1966 until 1988. He's 80-years-old now and, according to the GoFundMe page, he cares for his disabled sister and godson, who both live with him.

He just recovered from an illness that required an extended stay at a nursing home and, during that time, fell behind on his property taxes. Because of this, his home was sold at auction to an investor.

He has until May 7th to pay the $35,000 he owes so he can stay in his home. After that, he'll receive financial counseling for the future.
