Free Tax Help Available
Albert Einstein was confused by the U.S. Tax Code. Without proper training, it's easy to make mistakes when filing your tax return. If your family income is less than 49 thousand, you qualify for free income tax assistance.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is available for low-income families and individuals this Saturday (March 26) at the main branch of the Flint Public Library on East Kearsley Street. Registration opens at 9 am and closes when all the available slots are filled (so get there early!). You must be filing a simple return with no itemized deductions, no business income or capital gains deductions. Bring proof of income: W-2 forms, SSI statements, 1099's, etc. Also bring Social Security cards for all dependents being claimed. If you have questions, call (810) 249-2569 or visit www.fpl.info
Happy returns!
