Former NFL Player Chris Wilson Will Coach Flint Football Team This Fall
He graduated from Flint Northern in 2000 and played for the Washington Redskins for five seasons.
It was announced last week that the athletic programs at Northwestern and Southwestern will be combined, and Flint-native Chris Wilson will be their football coach. Home games will be played at Atwood, practices will be at Northwestern and uniforms will include black, white and teal colors.
Players from Southwestern will be bused to Northwestern for football practice, although this won't be the case for all sports.
Chris Wilson is a Flint native and also heads the CSW Faith Foundation, which helps athletes get into schools and focuses on youth philanthropy. He's still forming the rest of the coaching team.
Sounds like they've got a good head start on a winning season! Congrats, Chris!
