The city's 17th Harvest Festival will cater to the kids even more this year as they feature a Touch the Truck event. The downtown will be decorated with scarecrows and bales of hay as the kids get to have a close-up experience with firetrucks, cranes, dump truck, bulldozers, and more. The festival happens October 1st from 10am to 5pm at Riverview Park in Flushing. There will also be pony rides, a pie-baking contest, quilt-making demonstrations and more than 400 pumpkins ready to be painted.
