Flint Students Make Blankets for the Homeless – The Good News
Like we've been saying for years - these kids in the upcoming generations are GOOD EGGS.
Students at Durant-Turri-Mott elementary school spent their lunch period on Monday hand-making blankets. The blankets will be donated to the North End Soup Kitchen today, by the students. Today is Global Youth Service Day.
The kids got the idea after mentioning to teachers that they see a lot of homeless people on their way to school every day and that they "deserve warmth," too. Students will also be spending the day at the soup kitchen, serving meals.
FUTURE LEADERS OF AMERICA, FOLKS. We are in good hands. Thank you for being selfless, kiddos!
