Flint Donut Shop Helping Bring People Into The Workforce Gets a Grant [VIDEO]
Carriage Town Ministries owns and operates Blueline Donuts, and uses the donut shop as a way to get people back in the workforce. Blueline Donuts makes donuts and pastries every day to be sold at Heyday Coffee in Flint. Blueline Donuts just received a $16,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. That money will be used to make improvements to the oven so they can make even more donuts and pastries. Blueline Donuts has four employees, two bakers, one cashier, and one supervisor. The goal is to give people kitchen skills and on the job training, they can use in the workforce.
