Flint Churches Giving Back to the Community for the Holidays – The Good News
Tis the season for giving back!
I don't know about you, but for me, when I think church, I think charity. I grew up in a very religious family, and nothing made me more happy than seeing the church give back to the community.
Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle on Myrtle Avenue in Flint spent Monday afternoon handing out turkeys to local families. And the Joy Tabernacle on Chevrolet Ave. in Flint partnered with Carriage Town Ministries to pass out coats, gloves and winter clothes to about 300 people on Monday as well.
It's always nice to see people giving back, even if it's more prevalent during the holidays! Happy Thanksgiving!
