If you're quiet enough, you can hear the soft whimpering of students...and it's coming from Kent County.

Today is the first day back to the books for the Forest Hill school district. It's also the first day that the students will NOT be allowed to use their cell phones during school hours.

Parents have been told that, if they need to get in touch with their kids, to call the front office.

There have been several studies by the Centers for Disease Control, pediatricians and universities showing that kids' grades fall up to 20% when they're using their phones during school hours.

It's also been said that cell phone use during school increases depression, bullying and isolation among students.

What do you think? Is this the right call? Pun intended, of course.
