Fireball Meteor Lights Up Sky in Southern Michigan and Beyond [VIDEO]
Some thought it was lighting, others grew concerned that it was a missile strike, and some didn't know what the hell it was lighting up the sky over Southeast Michigan tonight. Reports indicate that it was probably a meteor fireball burning up in the sky.
There's no official word on exactly what happened a little after 8 pm EST, but a meteorologist in Grand Rapids estimates that the fireball fell from the sky approximately 50 miles northwest of Detroit.
Reports indicate that the fireball was visible as far away as Milwaukee, WI, Northwest Ohio, and in Southwestern Ontario.
