The Mad Hatter has been around for more than 90 years and many downtowners hope that run isn't over. The Mad Hatter in downtown Flint is so much more than a hat store. It's the go to place for many downtown residents and merchants.

The owner of the Lunch Studio is among those who have come to rely on the shop for help like that. But the time has come for the owner of the Mad Hatter to move on. The store itself opened on Saginaw Street 93 years ago. Kittel and his wife kept the tradition alive for many of those years. Now, they hope someone else picks up the torch.
