DTE Energy Music Theatre has a new address and it's honoring the one and only Bob Seger. The announcement comes just a day before Seger gets ready to kickoff a six-show run at DTE.

The new address of the outdoor music theatre formerly (and to some always will be) known as Pine Knob will now be 33 Bob Seger Drive. The change honoring Seger was unveiled during a short ceremony Wednesday morning on the DTE stage. The honor was bestowed by both 313 Presents and the Charter Township of Independence where the amphitheater is located. They made the address change to commemorate what will be the 33 sold-out performances by the Oakland County-based Michigan rocker after he finishes a six-show stand as part of his current “Roll Me Away Tour” farewell tour.

The venue has quite the history and a soft spot in the rock legend's heart. Seger first performed at when it was Pine Knob on July 24, 1972, as part of a Good Vibes Night event. You can catch Bob Seger at 33 Bob Seger drive with the Silver Bullet Band on June 6th, 8th, 12th, 14th, 19th and 21st.
