'Giant Killer.' It's phrase the late Alex Trebek coined when a Jeopardy contestant took down a player who had stood at the left lectern for several days as the show's reigning champ.

Ken Jennings used that same phrase to describe Michigan native Drew Basile as he took down 15-game champ Adriana Harmeyer, after she amassed $349,600 in winnings.

But is the 23-year-old from Birmingham, Michigan exhibiting unsportsmanlike qualities? I have to answer with a resounding yes.

Who is Drew Basile?

Basile is the current Jeopardy champion, winning his fourth game on Monday (6/24) and hauling in an impressive $75,682 (so far) on the iconic quiz show.

The champ towers above other contestants at 6' 6" and is no stranger to TV, having competed in season 45 of Survivor. The 23-year-old tells People that he turned in his master's thesis in English Literature at Oxford University on June 19, the day of his first Jeopardy win.

I'll admit, Basile is a force to be reckoned with. He's a smart kid, only one win away (as of this writing) from qualifying for Jeopardy's Tournament of Champions.

But despite his prowess on the Jeopardy buzzer, you may have noticed that Basile seems to be rather impressed with himself.

After his initial win when he dethroned Adriana Harmeyer, Basile applauded at the end of the broadcast but isn't seen extending a hand to console Harmeyer after her loss.

And after winning a rare tiebreaker on Friday, June 21, Basile fist-bumped the air but again didn't extend a hand to his opponent.

It's not just me. According to the Sun, viewers have been commenting about Basile's behavior.

"Good tense game. After seeing the extremely modest Adriana, Allison et al on my screen for so long I'm still trying to get used to the showboating and banter from Drew."

Other fans have called out the champ for having "disrespectful behavior' after winning Friday's tiebreaker.
