RICK ASTLEY GETS REMASTERED

Rick Astley started trending online yesterday, and everyone assumed the worst. No, not that they were being Rick Rolled, but that he had passed away. The reality though is that Rick got a remastering online that makes him look more alive than ever. A youtuber took his "Never Gonna Give You Up" video and remastered it in Ultra 1080p HD, and the internet went wild. You can see the video and some of the best reactions to it here.

KATY PERRY'S DAD HAS SOME EXPLAINING TO DO

Katy Perry's dad is an evangelical preacher, and has often been critical of some of the choices that Katy makes. Now it will be his turn to face the music after he and his wife made a few bad choices of their own. Reports have surfaced that Katy's dad may have been using donations to his charity as his own personal checkbook. Records show that her dads charity took in nearly $200k in 2019, but he spent nearly all of it on travel, lavish meals, and cars. Records show that after all the money was spent the charity was left with just over $7,500.

DOLLY PARTON TELLS POLITICIANS SHE DOES NOT WANT A STATUE

Tennessee lawmakers are trying to erect a statue of Dolly Parton at the capitol building, but she is not down for it. We can all agree that Dolly is a national treasure, and deserves every honor thrown at her. Part of what makes her so great is her humility, and her firm grasp on reality. When Dolly learned about the statue, she said that she was honored and humbled, but maybe now was not the time.

Given all that is going on in the world, I don't think putting me on a pedestal is appropriate at this time. Somewhere down the road several years from now or perhaps after I'm gone if you still feel I deserve it, then I'm certain I will stand proud in our great State Capitol as a grateful Tennessean

The lawmakers trying to push for the statue are still going to get public comment in hopes of changing Dolly's mind.
