Host Guy Fieri first visited the Union Woodshop and Clarkston Union in 2011 with Kid Rock as his tour guide. This is when the world was introduced to the 'most macked' mac and cheese on the planet.

Every person I know who has eaten the mac and cheese (at any of the Union Joints) knows that one time is not enough - people are hooked on the first bite. Proof of that is the fact that Diner's Drive-In's and Dives came back for seconds in 2021.

The new episode recently aired on the Food Network (7/1/22) and features two very familiar faces for anyone who has ever been to The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan - owner Kevin Zink and creator/owner of Machine Shop Gear Johanna Hoelzle.

As you will see in the video below Kevin and Johanna were featured on the first episode in 2011 too. The Machine Shop love does not end with Kevin and Johanna - Union Woodshop business partner Erich Lines is sporting a Machine Shop hat on the new episode and there is a Machine Shop sign hanging up in the Shop Shop Bar above the restaurant. How cool is that?

Check it out for yourself. Pick me up after you watch the video, I am hungry for BBQ too and I have already had six beers - let's roll.
