James Robertson was dubbed Detroit's 'Walking Man' after news of his daily 21-mile commute on foot made him famous overnight. Now that Robertson has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations and a brand new car, he's being targeted by neighbors looking for handouts, some of whom have threatened him with violence if he didn't pay up.

Detroit reporter Charlie LeDuff caught up with Robertson, just days after he sought police protection from those who have targeted him.
