Detroit Zoo’s Penguin Exhibit Receives National Award – The Good News
We figured that penguins would be a good way to start your Monday, no?
The Polk Penguin Conservation Center at the Detroit Zoo has won an award from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (better known as the AZA). They've received the 2017 Exhibit Award, which is given for excellence in exhibit design.
If you haven't been to the zoo yet, go. It's amazing. We're lucky enough to have been there twice - the $31 million, 33,000-square-foot center opened in April of last year.
And, well, you know. Penguins. They walked a "blue" carpet to their new home last year, and we thought we'd take this opportunity to share it again.
