Customers Pay It Forward, After Meijer Pays for 213 Shopping Orders [VIDEO]

Generosity begets generosity, as customers pay it forward after Meijer stores all over the Midwest pick up the tab on shoppers' orders at all of the retailer's stores.

'A Very Merry Meijer' (video below) paid for an entire order for a needy family in each one of their 213 stores.

Rick and Sue Hopper, who live in Freeland, tell M-Live that they plan to help relatives who have fallen on hard times, and make a donation to their church for its Christmas Eve celebration.

“Meijer’s gift to us will keep on giving. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Detroit resident Amber Pineau says she is giving to several area charities, after Meijer surprised her by paying her $492 bill.

She is now donating $500 to cancer research, Toys for Tots, holiday meals for families, a homeless shelter and programs to help women abused or struggling.
