The annual Curwood Festival starts today and continues through Sunday in Owosso in honor of the late author James Oliver Curwood (1876-1927). Curwood authored more than 30 books and built Curwood Castle as a writing studio in his hometown of Owosso.

The festival features a celebration of Owosso's heritage, plus a carnival, volleyball tournament, 5k/10k road races, arts and crafts, children's activities and tours of the Curwood Castle. There will be two parades. All the details can be found at:
