The Crim Festival of Races is just over a month away, but it's not too late to sign up to be a part of it.  Saturday, August 25th, thousands of runners and walkers will take to the streets of Flint for this annual celebration of fitness, fun and community pride.

There is a race for every ability level.  The signature 10-mile event expects to have over 10,000 runners and walkers, ranging from the world's best to your next door neighbor.  There is also an 8k (4.8 miles), 5k (3.1 miles), a 1-mile and the Teddy Bear Trot for the little ones.

There will be a few changes this year that most runners/walkers should apprecitate.  Instead of a cotton t-shirt, the Crim will provide a moisture-wicking shirt which is better for running in.  The 10-mile race will go to a corral system instead of a mass start.  This will cut down on the congestion in the first mile and could make for faster times.

There will still be plenty of entertainment on the course and on the flat lot after the race.

If you're not a runner/walker, you can still be part of the Crim by volunteering!  To sign up or get more information on all things Crim, visit http://www.crim.org/

See you on the bricks on Crim Day!
