Corunna Swimmer Honored by Congressman for Saving Opponent

An update to a Good News story we brought to you a little over a month ago.

Back in January, we shared the story of Xavier Staubs, the freshman swimmer at Corunna High School whose quick thinking and bravery saved the life of a rival swimmer from Owosso.

Now, Congressman John Moolenaar has awarded Xavier with an entry into the congressional record, which will be recorded into history.

“To me, it was just a powerful example of someone who was quick thinking and took action, didn’t hesitate and really made a difference,” said Moolenaar.
