Construction Worker Dies After Water Main Explosion in Burton

Update, 11-21:  Broadcast reports indicate that the Davison man injured in the water main accident earlier today has died from his injuries. Our thoughts are with the man's family.

A construction worker was injured and had to be rescued after a water main exploded or burst earlier today (11/21) in Burton.

The crew was working on installing a new water main near the intersection of Belsay and Potter Roads.

The construction worker was trapped underwater for about 10 minutes according to WJRT. The Davison man was rushed to a nearby hospital and is said to be in extremely critical condition.
