Christmas Tree Lighting Still Happening in Downtown Flint
It's one of the few events that are still on schedule to take place this Christmas.
If you're looking to get into the Christmas spirit but struggling to find stuff to do with the global pandemic, you might be in luck - it appears as though there will be a tree-lighting ceremony in downtown Flint at Brush Park on Thursday, December 3rd.
It's hosted by the What's Up Downtown project. According to the Facebook event page:
Join us in Downtown Flint for a TREEmendous evening full of family fun and holiday cheer!
Here is a list of the magic you will experience during our annual TREEmendous lighting at 6:59PM!
Live Reindeer, Christmas music, Santa and Mrs. Claus, Food vendors (Fosters Coffee, Café Rhema, Blackstones, MCC The Culinary School, Steddy Eddy's), Carriage rides, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer being screened at the Capitol Theatre at 7:15PM (tickets info coming soon), St. Paul’ Bell Players, and more!

Second street will be closed off so we can ensure social distancing and masks are required.
Please keep in mind that this is subject to change due to the global pandemic we are living in.
We'll keep you up to date on the status of this event as it gets closer. And, as always, PLEASE wear a mask.
