"Highest Quality Maintenance & Growth Formula for Cats", made by the Robert Adady Dog Food Company, has been recalled because it has the potential to be contaminated by Salmonella.

The recalled cat food comes in two pound, five pound and fifteen pound corrugated boxes with plastic liners. Look for boxes marked with lot #14029/21 stamped on the right side of the box.

Consumers who have purchased this product are asked to go to their place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone with questions may call the company at 1-845-473-1900, Monday thru Friday, 8:30a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Symptoms to watch for in a cat that may have Salmonella include fever, lethargy, weight loss, dehydration and diarrhea.

Production of this product has stopped as the FDA and the company continue their investigation regarding this possible contamination.
