Captain and Tennille Calling It Quits After 39 Years Of Marriage [Video]

I guess love won't keep them together.

Gotta say...this makes me sad.

After 39 years, The Captain and Tennille are calling it quits.

Toni Tennille filed for divorce against husband and singing partner, Darly Dragon on January 16 in Prescott, Arizona. Tennille is 73. Captain is 71.

The couple released their first album and married in 1975, and will be forever remembered for their four big hits; "Love Will Keep Us Together", "Muskrat Love", "Do That To Me One More Time" and "Wedding Song."

Toni says the marriage is "irretrievably broken", but Daryl told TMZ that he didn't see it coming.

They have continued to perform and record together, but in 2010 Toni revealed that her husband was suffering from a neurological disorder with symptoms that are similar to Parkinson's disease. They have no children.

Let's remember The Captain and Tennille in happier days. Don't tell anybody...this song is one of my favorite "guilty pleasures"!
