Body Found On CMU Campus Over Homecoming Weekend [VIDEO]

What is normally a weekend for celebrating, Homecoming weekend for students at Central Michigan University ended anything but a celebration.  Campus police issued a bulletin regarding Dearborn Heights resident 18-year-old Michael Hartnett early Sunday (10/5/2014). Hartnett was not a student of CMU, he was just visiting some friends on campus.

With the use of GPS tracking, police were able to determine that his phone was last used near the CMU library around 2:00am Sunday morning.  Police blocked off an area near a botanical garden as they began their search.  Hartnett's body was found in a nearby pond and pulled from the water around 7:00pm last night. Officials are performing an autopsy today to deturmine the cause of death.  No other details have been released.
