BetMGM Becomes Detroit Lions First Official Sports Betting Partner

The Detroit Lions have announced BetMGM as their first sports betting partner.

Today, the Detroit Lions announced their joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, which is a British sports betting and gambling company.  BetMGM is now the club's first official sports betting partner. The new partnership will feature assets such as Lions Bingo and Lions Perks.

The Detroit Lions historic relationship with BetMGM has been years in the making and we're proud to announce details of our official partnership...We're continuously seeking new ways to entertain and involve our fans which is especially important during such unusual times; this partnership with BetMGM will provide additional and exciting opportunities to engage our fans, said Detroit Lions Team President Rod Wood.

Lions Bingo is available on the Detroit Lions mobile app and was introduced last year. Now that the Lions have partnered with BetMGM, fans can now win cash prizes and future all-expenses-paid trips to MGM properties across the United States. All the fans have to do is accurately predict the right sequence of game scenarios. Lions Perks was introduced in 2018 and will now offer exclusive Lions Perks rewards and special offers from BetMGM and the BetMGM Sports Lounge at MGM Grand Detroit Casino.

I have never been one to bet on sports games, mainly because I have no idea what the hell I'm doing when it comes to that, but I may give it a shot in the future. Sports betting in Michigan was signed into law late last year.
