BBQ Battle At Flint Farmers’ Market Saturday

I haven't had a chance to go to this event so maybe I'll be able to stop by this year. On Saturday, the Flint Farmers' Market is hosting their annual BBQ Battle from 10am to 5pm and anyone is invited to come out to attend and even sample some food at the same time.

Several BBQ experts from around the area will be competing in the event, with certified celebrity and guest judges judging their BBQ ribs at 3pm. There's going to be plenty of activities going on throughout the day with live entertainment from Flea Flicker.

It's going to be really busy so get there early so you can sample some pulled BBQ pork. At 11am, you can take part in the 'try it then buy it' special  where you can pay $5 and sample the pulled pork until it runs out.

If you would like to get a preview of the event, there will be a kick-off on Thursday at noon with a cooking demonstration sponsored by Dort Federal Credit Union. The kick-off will give you a good excuse to go to the bakery for some scones and other goodies.
