This fall, you won't need a souped-up DeLorean to time-travel—a ticket to the nearest movie theater will do the trick.

Thirty years after Back to the Future was released to audiences—and chronicled Marty McFly's quest to accelerate 30 years into the future—the minds behind the movie have come together for a tell-all documentary that will explore how the flick got off the ground, and sound off on its pop culture legacy, according to Deadline.

The site says Back in Time, which is set for release on October 21, will include interviews with director Robert Zemeckis, producer Stephen Spielberg and stars Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd. Jason Aron is Back in Time's director.

Noah Gallagher, President and CEO of Gravitas film distribution company, said joining on to the project, and releasing Back in Time to theaters, didn't require a whole bunch of deliberation.

"Iconic documentaries, like a bolt of lightning, only come around so often," Gallagher said to Deadline. "We are honored to be a part of the Back To The Future mythology and bringing this must-have film to the millions of fans who have loved the trilogy all these years."

Back in Time will also be available on VOD and DVD/Blu-ray.
