‘Anonymous’ Involvement Unclear in Flint Hospital Cyber Attack [VIDEO]
Very little is known about yesterday's cyber attack at Hurley Medical Center that their IT department has confirmed. But according to the hospital spokeswoman Eileen Cantor, "Patient care was not compromised and we are closely monitoring all systems to ensure IT security is consistently maintained."
According to a report, Flint police were unaware of the cyber attack which comes just one day after a threat from the online hacktivist group, Anonymous. They promised that they would take action over the Flint Water Crisis.
There is no direct link to the attack and to Anonymous. And because the group is made up of many members, operating in many locations, there's really no way to know for sure whether it was a member of the hacktivist group. However the PR Wing of Anonymous, Hive Communications, referenced the attack at Hurley Medical Center stating in a tweet that hospitals should be off limits.
The question then becomes, if Hurley Medical Center's cyber attack wasn't initiated by Anonymous, who was it?
